I grew up in a village in North West Suffolk, with my two sister, parents, and pets. I had the best childhood living in this area and had way access to the North Norfolk coast.
My love for sport, particularly tennis, was highlighted on the coast, as this is where I met many wonderful coaches and mad friends for life whilst starting to player tennis competitively.
During my early teens I met Seb and started playing a little bit in Ely. Every year, for a long time, I entered the Hunstanton Lawn tennis Tournament, which drew people from all around the country to play amateur competitive tennis and socialise. We had a good time and laughed... perhaps too much sometimes to the detriment of our game.
I continued to play tennis at University in the BUCS league, where we were fairly successful and allowed to play all over the country.
I also played Touch Tennis, which was competitive and extremely fun. Having the balance of being competitive but also having fun was the most important thing for me.
My love of sport sparked my interest in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Working with Seb at 10is Academy over the past years has enhanced my passion for understanding the mental aspects of sport and the challenges for the competitive game.
Working alongside a talented coach who also has an interest in Sport Psychology is a privilege.
